Surface Impression

We developed this website to support the First Editions, Second Thoughts auction of fifty contemporary first edition books that were annotated by their authors. The auction was held in May 2013 at Sotheby's and the sale raised a total of £439,200 and the proceeds from the auction went to benefit English PEN which campaigns on "defend writers and readers in the UK and around the world whose human right to freedom of expression is at risk".
